Why Work with Me?

DOCTOR OF MEDICINE

I no longer practice medicine, but the high tax burden shouldered by physicians was part of my lived experience for more than a decade. I quickly discovered how important it was to understand how our tax system works; This was integral to achieving my financial goals (including stepping away from medicine).

ENROLLED AGENT

Enrolled agents must pass a three-part Special Enrollment Examination, a qualification held by only about 8% of tax preparers in the United States. They are admitted to practice before the IRS and can represent taxpayers in any matter.

I decided to pursue this designation because I knew that self-directed learning is useful, but that it could only take me so far. I also think that service professionals should be able to demonstrate not only value, but also knowledge, expertise, and their professional commitment to clients. It’s probably ingrained from my medical training!

NOT YOUR TYPICAL TAX PROFESSIONAL

My overarching passion is for personal finance and helping doctors achieve financial independence. I have a rich understanding of how well taxes intertwine with a physician’s broader financial priorities and values. I do not make specific investment recommendations, but I am happy to suggest the most tax-efficient vehicles for investing and saving for retirement. I am also happy to collaborate with your financial planner to make sure we are aligned on your goals and strategy.
